Feeling Lighter

I woke up today feeling lighter and I had to weigh myself...I know I am supposed to weigh myself every Tuesday, but I could not resist.  I weigh 201.4 pounds.  I am feeling good.  I went to workout this morning and burned 300 calories.  I feel pretty good today!!  I hope to keep this going.  I know I will feel better when the weight starts to really come off.  I am so motivated right now.  If I had got more sleep last night I would probably feel better so that is going to be my next personal goal.  I need more sleep!  I have quite a bit of school work so I am going to be busy the next two months.  I will done the first week in December for a little over a month!  My mom suggested she might need me to work for her a couple of days a week next semester.  I will put the kids in daycare and go to class two days a week and work for her two days a week and have Fridays off.  I didn't really want to put the girls back in daycare because I am not real happy with the ones around here, but it would probably be better for me to have some time to do homework with out a two year old demanding attention all day.  I will keep y'all posted on my progress with school, family, and my weight loss.

Mini Goals

I finally have the Mini Goals!!  I would like to weigh 185-190 by Thanksgiving, 170-175 by Christmas, 155-160 by Blake's birthday (01/22), 140-145 by Valentine's Day, and 135-130 by my six year anniversary (03/18).  I really hope to meet these goals but if I don't, I will keep on until I do meet my goal weight of 130-135.  I know I can do it!!  It will be hard work but will be worth it for me and my family.  I have my 10 year high school reunion this summer so I want to be fit and looking better than I did back then.

Speaking of goals...I have some personal goals I would like to mention.  I would like to start going back to church.  I would also like to do a date night once a month with my husband.  We have not spent nearly enough time together as of late.  I also want to make time for myself!!  I have been so busy with family and school I have not given myself enough time either.  I still have a massage that my sister got me for my birthday that I need to use.

I am going to have a very busy weekend.  I am getting up in the morning and making french toast for the family and then taking the girls to Itty Bitty City for a little while so I can study for my Microbiology and Psychology tests.  Sunday I will have to go all the way to downtown Houston to take my Microbiology test.  I will also take my Psychology test while I am out.  Hopefully next week won't be as busy as this week has been.  I am hoping to get to go to the gym nearly everyday. (I need to be working out daily to meet my mini goals)

202.6

I know I have not written in a while.  I did weigh myself yesterday...202.6 pounds.  I have been eating better but have not been doing the cardio to lose the weight.  My kids and husband have been sick and I have so much going on in school right now.  I have to take two tests this week and am feeling a little overwhelmed.  I have been trying to walk to pick Kayley up from school.  I hope things will calm down soon so we can take bike rides and walks together as a family on top of me doing some cardio daily.  I have to make good grades so I can get into nursing school in Oklahoma.  Next semester I will probably only take two classes.  It is too hard to take three classes at home with a two year old and Kayley has homework everyday we have to work on, so a lot going on!!

Well, the girls started off in their seperate beds, but same room pretty badly.  I was up until nearly midnight with them Friday and Saturday they were okay.  Kayley woke up at midnight and came downstair saying she could night find Blake.  Awesome way to be woken up let me tell you.  I raced upstairs and saw a shadowy figure on the ground by Blake's bed.  I touched it and knew it was her.  Kayley laid back down in her bed and I thought she was going to go back to sleep, but about 12:30 I heard her go into my mom's room.  BUT Sunday night they were HORRIBLE!!  They woke up my mom at midnight.  I heard Blake over the moniter.  I was still awake of course finishing up homework.  About one I went up there to check on them and my mom was still in their room.  I thought Blake was the only one awake so I took downstairs with me and laid on the couch with her.  As I was walking out my mom whispered that Kayley was awake too.  I almost had Blake to sleep when Kayley came down the stairs.  Then they were really awake.  I took them back to their room and stayed in there with them.  They would not go back to sleep.  Finally about three I made Kayley go in my mom's room while I slept laid with Blake until time to get up.  We slept laid there until nearly 7am.  I let Kayley sleep a little later and took her to school at 9 instead of 8.  Tuesday night they only got up twice and were alseep by 8:30.  We heard them awake at 6:30.  Perfect timing.  Last night Rachel, Patrick, and Brody came over.  Brody is getting so big.  He can sit up all by himself and tries very hard to kind of crawl.  He does this thing where he gets on his hands and feet and wobbles for a few seconds and then just sits.  It is so cute.  I made a juicy baked whole chicken with green beans, salad, and whole grain rice.  It was pretty good.  The girls feel asleep about 9:00 and did not wake up unitl 6:15!  So night number two was very successful!!  I hope they keep this up.

I know I said I would post my mini goals, but I have not had time to think about it...so maybe tomorrow or maybe next week.  I don't know.  I will try to get it done this week, but not making any promises.  HAHA!

A fresh start

Well...I have a house full of sicklies.  My husband, Justin, is sick and Kayley and Blake are sick.  All with sinus infections and a horrible cough.  I am starting to get a runny nose so I hope I am not going to come down with this as well.  I have been so busy with school and my sick family that I did not workout yesterday or today so far.  I have two tests next week and a lot of reading to do...really hard to do with a sick two year old or a two year old period.  I made the potato soup last night instead of the other night (I can't remember when I said I was going to make it).  There were no leftovers.  So needless to say, it was a hit.  I will be making that again in the future.  Tomorrow I will start something new...I will drink only water.  It fills you up and helps you get rid of excess water.  No breads, rice, or pastas instead eat fruits and veggies.  Do at least 30 minutes of cardio a day.  Do three sets of twelve crunches, squats, and lunges every other day.  I am going to try to get more sleep.  This is hard for me because I have homework and I need the time to myself after the girls go to bed.  Take daily vitamins and start taking healthe trim.  No more Dr Peppers for me!!  This is only to help me get to my goal weight.  I know this is not realistic for me and my family.  I would like to only drink cokes when we go to dinner or on special occasions after I get to my goal weight.  I know that I will go back to eating rice, bread, and pasta.  I would still need to exercise daily to keep the weight off but not as intensely as I need to get it off.  I think I am going to set small gaols to help me out instead of focusing so much on the huge number.  I will think about it and post what I have decided is realistic later.

On to other important things, I am trying to get the girls in the same room.  They won't share a bed (Blake likes her space) so I am going to have to buy another bed.  I am thinking of just buying a toddler bed for Blake and putting Kayley in the twin.  Save me some money right now.  I can just use the crib mattress.  This is something I have not mentioned, but we are moving to Oklahoma City in less than two years.  The girls are going to go from seeing their Grannie everyday to less than once a month.  It is going to be a nightmare at first but we will get into a routine and they will get used to it.  I just need them sleeping in the same room because we may have to move into an apartment at first.  I don't want to make too many changes all at once.  The less stressful it is for them the less stressful it is for me.  I have a TinkerBell toddler bedding set that I "used" for Kayley that Blake can use and a twin TinkerBell (again for Kayley) that can be used for the twin bed.  I am going to start decorating it this weekend.  I will post pictures when it is all done!  I am so excited; I can't wait!!

203

My weight today is 203 pounds.  I hope this keeps up.  I know this is going not going to happen overnight.  I have a very busy life and more important things I have to focus on.  This morning Blake and I walked Kayley to school.  It is so humid outside, my sunglasses kept fogging up.  We went to the gym for a short workout.  I only worked out for 30 minutes.  I have a lot of homework I need to do.  I figured I will walk to get Kayley from school this afternoon and maybe go for a bike ride tonight with the family.

*I have been turned on the a website...pinterest.com.  I love it!!  It is a virtual pin board.  There are lots of great craft ideas, good food, clothing, and the list goes on.  I am starting to like it better than Facebook.  I hate the new changes they made.  Pinterest is only a virtual pin board...you cannot write what you are doing on it.  I think it is fun to look at all the stuff and it gives me great ideas for the girls and for my family.*

I am soo ready for some cooler weather.  I am even making a baked potato soup tonight...it is going to be 89 degrees here today!!  I can't wait to move somewhere with four seasons.  I am tired of all the heat all the time.  I want a real Fall and Spring.  I hope it starts to cool off for good soon.

*I am not a paid spokesperson.  I just love this website and wanted to share it.*

Fort Worth

I went to workout Thursday morning before I had to pick Kayley up from school.  Friday I had to get all of the laundry done.  Saturday morning we left for Fort Worth.  We got about 30-45 minutes down the road before my mom realized that she left her debit card in the back pocket of the jeans she had on the day before.  We had to turn around...Thank God my husband met us with it.  We finally got back on the road.  It was a miracle...Kayley slept 2-3 hours on and off and Blake did not sleep at all...the little stinker.  Usually neither of them sleep.  Kayley sleeping like that just told me that she did not feel well.  We finally got there.  My Aunt Barbie met us at the hotel.  We hung out while my mom got ready for her reunion.  After they left my brother, Matt, brought me some dinner and we waited on my cousin and her family to get there.  We took the kids swimming...or we sat in the hot tub with them.  The indoor pool was freezing.  The kids played for a couple of hours and had a lot of fun!!  We went back to the room and the kids watched Shrek while the adults talked and played with Morgan, my cousin Alex's 4 month old son.  So cute!!  I did not get the chance to take a lot of pictures and of course my mom has the camera with her so I will either post them tonight or tomorrow.  We had plans to go to the zoo Sunday morning...that did not work out.  It rained all night Saturday and Sunday morning.  We instead went to Alex's house and let the kids play and then we all met my brother for lunch at El Fenix.  The ride home was stressful.  Everyone was tired.  We did not sleep well Saturday night.  Kayley was up all night coughing and it just is not home.  We finally got home, ate dinner, bathed the girls, and we all went to bed.  I took Kayley to the Dr. this morning.  She has a sinus infection so no school today.  I hope they take a long nap today I need to play catch up!

Wagon

Time to get back on the wagon.  Tomorrow is Thursday and I have yet to workout this week.  I have had no energy.  I did weigh myself...the same 205 pounds as last week.  I need to work harder!!  This is going to be a rough road, but I am willing to take it.  I have still been counting calories and have not swayed far from my limit.

On a happier note my daughter, Kayley, has been good at school for three days in a row now.  She got The Lion King movie as a reward.  She only has a half day tomorrow so I am hoping she is good again.  Then Friday is picture day!!  She has had a hard time adjusting to school.

The girls, my mom, and I are going to Fort Worth this weekend.  She has a mini high school reunion and we have family there.  We are hoping to go to The Fort Worth Zoo Sunday morning.  I am praying for it not to rain.  The high for the day is supposed to be 83.  Perfect weather for a zoo trip.  I love the Fort Worth Zoo.  Either way the girls will have a blast with their cousins.

I WILL PICK KAYLEY UP FROM SCHOOL AND GO WORKOUT TOMORROW!!!

Busy Busy Bees

We had a busy weekend.  We watched my nephew, Brody on Friday night.  He is such a handsome "little" fellow.  He is a ham!!  He is wearing the sames size diapers as my two and a half year old.  Oh I just love him so much.

He looks just like my beautiful sister, Rachel right now.  Here is all of them together.

They were so addorable.

On Saturday we took the girls to our favorite drop-in daycare, Itty Bitty City.  They love it there and so do we.  My mom and I took Brody with us to run some errands.  We picked the girls up and went home to make some early dinner.  My sister and her husband, Patrick, came over to get their cutie patoodie and eat dinner with us.  Today we took the girls to the fair.  The terrible twos are really terrible right now...needless to say Blake was very difficult today (and nearly everyday).  After walking around in the sun, riding a couple of rides, and playing a few games we were ready to get home.  This weekend turned out to be great family time.  Here are the pictures from before and during the fair.
